While progress has been made in making people aware of climate change and new technologies like solar and wind power have been developed beyond needing subsidies, little progress has been made in reducing CO2 in the Atmosphere.
At this point the only solution to AGW is to build out clean power generation as fast as possible and use it to capture Carbon, attempting to reduce production of CO2 is a lost cause, and efficiency improvements will have insufficient effect.
